I chose not to become a patient because of my experience with the person scheduling appointments. From the beginning, I felt like I was being talked at rather than listened to. I understood that I needed to contact my insurance company to make the dentist my primary provider. Instead of acknowledging that we were discussing the same required step, the scheduler repeatedly focused on correcting the terminology I used (“authorization” versus “assignment”), even though it was clear I understood what needed to be done. The conversation became unnecessarily argumentative and exasperated over semantics rather than helping a prospective patient navigate the process. A simple, respectful explanation would have resolved the issue in seconds. For me, the way a practice treats patients before they ever walk through the door says a great deal about its culture. If the first interaction leaves a prospective patient feeling unheard, corrected instead of helped, and more stressed than when the call began, that’s not the experience I’m looking for in a healthcare provider. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

It was such a waste of time. My appointment was 9am and they just kept me waiting saying that the dentist hasn’t arrived. The staffs did nothing. I didn’t want to waste time so I told them I’m leaving and they were just like ‘ok, leave’. Don’t ignore the google reviews here.

This is a budget community health center. I don't have any insurance, so I went in to see the dentist to get X-rays and a consultation, and a prescription for some antibiotics for my gum disease and It cost me $100. $100 is the max price, they work on a sliding scale depending on your income. I'd recommend for simple things like cleanings and exams. It's budget care, but it is better than just not going anywhere. The dentist, assistant, and the front desk lady were all very nice.

I’ve been here a couple of times For dentistry work by Dr. Francis Barra. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be returning. First of all, this clinic is in the middle of no where, Difficult to find. They never honor your appointment time. Every time I’ve been here I’ve waited atleast 45 minutes or more to be seen. For example today I had an appointment at 15:15, I came in at 15:00 and waited an hour and 37 minutes to be seen. The secretary Maria was on her cell phone laughing and chatting for about 40 minutes out of that wait. After she finally finished her conversation I asked when will I be seen since I have school at 17:00 and it’s been more than 40 minutes passed my appointment time at this point. She shrugged her shoulders and said “I’ve told you sometimes the dentist gets backed up” .... Hmm I didn’t like that response especially since she didn’t even try and ask the dental assistant or the Dr.Barra to at least give me a estimated time so I could tell my professor. After that I had to wait 40 minutes more, I even saw a lady who came After me be seen before me so clearly at this point I felt like it was being done on purpose. I’ve never had to wait for more th

I went here to see the dentist several times and would only recommend it for a dental cleaning. When the dentist actually did fillings on my teeth they were a disaster and I ended up losing one of the teeth. Half the time some vital piece of equipment is broken (the x-ray, the suction). I appreciate that this is a clinic and offers low-cost dentistry but other clinics do better- try the one in Chelsea.
